Soldier Gears

We picked up Gears of War: The Board Game recently. It’s an impressive system with some great miniatures, except for one flaw: all the player characters look like dudes in armor with chainsaw-guns. Rather than getting out the microscope to tell who’s who, pick up a set of these identifying gears. You can remove your miniatures from their bases with a razor blade, then super-glue them to their gear.

They’re designed with each player’s pose in mind, so their feet won’t obscure their name.

The set also includes a fifth gear for use as a current-player marker, as we found ourselves losing track of that in the midst of defense rolls and interrupts.

The gears come with their text pre-painted red for you.
